A noble tribute

Brad Joiner was a unique gift to the mtb community and anyone who came into contact with him; He could roast you, yet the love overshadowed the insult and would push you to accomplish things you were doubting. He genuinely wanted true progression for the sport and advocated tirelessly for trails that pushed progression and growth for riders of all abilities.

Brad eventually found his way to Arkansas building trails and before that in Texas he spent all of his available spare time slinging dirt and building features that brought joy to everyone lucky enough to ride what he created. Which was usually a REALLY good skinny, jank, or tech many would shy away from. Even on his roughest days he still had a smile on his face and kept the stoke alive.

We would like to take a moment to introduce a special rendition of our 5th annual Party at Paja. As many of you know, we lost our dear friend in dirtbag supreme Brad to an accident. Brad made such a great impact on our sport especially with the trail party family.

To honor our compadre. We will throw down a celebration worthy of all of his building, supporting, and heckling. There will be a local brewery out selling beverages, we’re looking for live music or a DJ in the Santa Fe area, plus all the regular shenanigans that Paja brings every year.

20% of the entry fees will go to Brad’s family and there will be a couple rides the week before the race for anyone that wants to help get the mountain ready. He was there every year but 2108 helping us out. His love for the untouched beauty of the mountains surrounding Los Alamos was inevitable. Dirtbags crave natural low key places. RIP Brother.
