A CELEBRATION OF DOWNHILL AND AMERICA
This year the Paja stop of the series falls on the weekend after the 4th of July. There’s not a better time or place to celebrate the American born sport than the “little bird”. The extended weekend will include extra curricular activities like:
Los Alamos Fireworks viewing from the “Selfie Station” 3/4 up the mountain. We’ll load riders up in trucks Thursday evening and shuttle them up to an amazing vantage point to watch the sky show.
Costume Contest: Best Patriotic Costume or Kit will win a free entry to the Crested Butte DHR event. Judged over the course of Saturday Morning-Awards. Come by the tent and show us your spirit and flare pieces.
Swimming hole session: Friday and Saturday after the lift closes, join us at the nearby quarry to cool off and enjoy the water.
Custom race tracks for all the skill level categories.
Free Camping near the lift.
The best unknown DH tracks in the Rockies
WHEN WE SAY PAJA HAS THE MOST EURO-LIKE DH TRACKS IN THE ROCKIES WE’VE EVER SEEN WE ARE NOT KIDDING. THIS PLACE IS THE REAL DEAL. TRAIL PARTY HAS BEEN VISITING THE “LITTLE BIRD” SINCE 2018 AND WE LOVINGLY REFER TO IT AS THE WINDROCK OF THE SOUTHWEST BECAUSE OF IT’S UNCOMPROMISING TERRAIN. THE BEST WAY TO DESCRIBE THIS BIKE PARK WOULD BE: A GROUP OF DOWNHILL TRACKS FROM THE DAYS OF THE OLD GODS THAT YOU WOULD HAVE TO HIKE YOUR MACHINE A HALF MILE OUT BEFORE CLIMBING TO THE TOP, ACCEPT ALL AT THE TOP OF A LIFT. THESE TRACKS ARE MAINTAINED BY A DEVOTED GROUP OF LOCAL VOLUNTEERS THAT LOVE THIS PLACE AS IF THEY OWNED IT. THIS PLACE IS TRULY A ONE OF A KIND MTB COMMUNITY.
THE TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN AND STARTING GATES WILL BE AT ONE OF THE HIGHEST PEAKS IN THE SERIES AND BOASTS INSANE VIEWS THAT MANY WILL NEVER WITNESS. THERE WILL BE PLENTY OF WORTHY TRACKS FOR US TO CHOOSE FROM. BREAKING BAD/BONE CRUSHER/FAST AND LOOSE/MUY LOCO/MOTHERS MILK ARE ALL ROWDY, STEEP, AND TECHNICAL. DO NOT BE INTIMIDATED BY THE DESCRIPTION THESE COURSES ARE RIDEABLE FOR THE CORRECT LEVEL OF RIDER.
FREE CAMPING AT THE BASE AREA (NOT 100 YDS FROM THE LIFT) IS AVAILABLE AS WELL AS RESERVED CAMPING SPOTS UP THE HILL WITH RESTROOMS YOU CAN GET IN TOWN AT THE PARKS OFFICE. THE AQUATIC CENTER IN LOS ALAMOS HAS SHOWERS FOR A SMALL FEE. LIFT TICKETS ARE GENERALLY VERY AFFORDABLE AND HAVE BEEN LESS THAN $25 IN SOME CASES. YOUR PURGATORY/SPIDER MOUNTAIN/BRIAN HEAD SUMMER PASS SHOULD WORK, BUT CHECK WITH THE PARK TO CONFIRM. IF YOU COME TO PAJA IT MOST LIKELY WONT BE YOUR LAST TIME.

NO REFUNDS: TTP does not offer refunds under any circumstances.
We understand that unfortunate circumstances happen, but unfortunately we cannot offer refunds due to long-term planning and associative costs, along with administrative constraints involved for each event. Schedules change, injuries happen, and bikes break; that is all part of mountain biking.
There is affordable insurance you can purchase through Bikereg when you register and this is highly suggested.
Unfortunately we can no longer offer race credits for future events.
Event Cancellation Refunds:
TTP always chooses the Bikereg provided insurance for event cancellation in case of weather, or other unforseen circumstances. If the event is cancelled and Bikereg does not cover the cost of the event, Trail Party will not be liable for refunds. The amount of resources that go into promoting and executing high caliber events are already spent by the time registration goes live.
